Abstract
This study aims to reveal how the Efforts to Improve Performance (Improving Performance) in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Negeri 1 Merangin. This type of research is qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The informants in this study consisted of school principals, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and several students. The selection of informants was done deliberately. Data sources consist of two types, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis method used is data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification. Test the validity of the data through a credibility test. The results of the study show that the form of efforts to increase performance in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Negeri 1 Merangin is good. It's just that to improve performance it is clear that there are several factors that influence these efforts, for example, one of them is the facilities and infrastructure provided by the school and the government that oversees educational institutions in this vocational high school. The form of efforts made to improve performance in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Negeri 1 Merangin can be seen in the form of efforts made directly by the principal who facilitates teachers and students to improve teacher performance and produce good learning quality and learning outcomes for students, in terms of The facilities provided can be in the form of special study rooms for Islamic religious education, learning media in the form of computers, as well as providing other tools to support the learning process. With these facilities, of course, they can help in efforts to improve performance in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Negeri 1 Merangin.
